With this project we want to make a trip to the young in the EU's history to reach the vision of the new challenges for the future which will be confronted. Throughout history have different personalities like Robert Schuman (French Foreign Minister, made a speech in 1950 where for the first time there was talk of economic and political union of European states) Jean Monnet, without forgetting our Alcide De Gasperi worked to hope peaceful union of European states, but only after the two world wars these ideas began to take shape. Exemplary in this regard was the Ventotène Manifesto written by Altiero Spinelli and Ernesto Rossi.
The first community of Coal and Steel signed by West Germany, France, Italy, Benelux, 1951, the Treaty of Rome of 1957 establishing the European Economic Community (EEC). The Maastricht Treaty, which came into force on 1 November 1993 effectively ratifies the birth of the union not only economic but also of political 'Europe. Since that time there was no talk of European Economic Community but in the European Union (EU).
In these years of crisis has placed particular emphasis on economic problems often lose sight of what his core values, in 2012 the EU has even won the Nobel Peace Prize for helping to keep the peace on the European continent for 70 years.
But what are the challenges of the future? Young people can get to recognize in the values of the EU? What are the issues of most interest to young Europeans? During the activities of our project we will be presented all mobility programs of the union, but we will try to put the spotlight on all those devoted to volunteering, seen as a moment of training throughout Europe, except in Italy.
The activities of this project will be from May 31 2016 to June 08 2016.
