Europe - Step by Step

After two exchanges of young people in partnership with the Association AVRIL (2008-2010) (theme: dynamic eco-citizen), we want to redirect the project to a focal area of the MJC, the cultural practice.

Content and objectives of the action:
Objectives:
- Enabling young people to inform themselves, communicate respect for people: the notion of plural singularity.
- Allow young people to develop an artistic approach on the topic

partnership with a local dance company, the street festival "Virevoltés" and the European Information Centre CREAN

Objective: Construction of a street show around the theme “Europe step by step”:
  "Being young in the European community - stop the cliches and stereotypes - defend the uniqueness, diversity. "
The support can be artistic, mime, dance, body language, drama ...
Desired place for accomodation: in and around the Lycée Marie Curie de Vire (Close to the festival, near places of work, rehearsal space)

To make communication easier among the youth on this subject where they are not specialists in a cultural practice (mime, dance ...), we will use the video tool: creative activity that attracts young people. They will consider and conduct a European information campaign on the singularity plural (we are all meant to be together, but everyone is free to be different).
During this exchange of youth, we will use methods of non-formal education.
Artistic creation will be released in the festival of Virevoltés, and youth structures in the territory Bocain (Saint Sever, Vassy, Beny-Bocage).

The project is designed for welcoming three foreign youth groups. Spain and the Czech Republic already are participants.
