GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
The overall objective of the project "EUROCODEX" will be to contribute to the development of a sense of European citizenship based on a comparison of common stories, through the implementation of a transnational tourism product (the journey of illuminated manuscripts) in 7 different European countries ( Italy, England, Germany, France, Austria, Albania and Sweden). The countries were chosen on the basis of the same nature (Gospels) and the same historical period (sixth century AD), during which were produced illuminated manuscripts that each country hosts.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: The specific objectives of the project are:

• facilitate the exchange of information, knowledge and best practices, the development of a network of tourism Codes Miniati (Missals) and a platform for discussion among all stakeholders (public authorities and the private sector), stimulating the establishment of public -private partnerships and the integration of businesses operating in the tourism sector.

• contribute to the socio-economic development and growth of young companies in the areas of intervention, through the sharing of experiences and the design of a common operating paino, aimed at consevazione of the historical-artistic community and at the same time sharing information and dissemination ;

Expected results:

 description of a "journey of illuminated manuscripts";
 production of a Tourist Guide based on the "journey of illuminated manuscripts";
 Definition of a unified glossary of terms relating to manuscripts;
 Encourage active participation and involvement of different stakeholders, including local / regional tourism, small and medium enterprises in the private sector, tourism organizations, local business units, NGOs, youth associations, etc.;
 Preparation of a dossier supporting the application of such property to a UNESCO heritage site;

Target group:

• Local populations of the cities that host the codes. Based on the experience of the Italian town of Rossano Calabro, most of the visitors of the Code are students from local schools, as well as adult groups consisting of community associations or associations of parents.
• The local tourist associations (such as the Pro-Loco)
• Local tourism SMEs
• Potential users / visitors of the website of the project and virtual museum;


Structure and Abstract of the project:

1) Unify the concepts and characteristics of the Missals.
This action will lead to the unification of the technical and structural features that define the specific category of manuscripts relating to the sixth century AD, called Missals, in order to avoid misunderstandings in the use of vocabulary related to Codex. Such lexical discrepancy was found during the preparation of this proposal. With the support of a technical team formed by the sharing of resources across the entire axis of the partnership, this proposal aims to promote the production of a short glossary unique and universally recognized.

2) Describe a path of illuminated manuscripts

This proposal, in line with the priorities for Community stems from what is contained in the Resolution of the European Parliament, ie the invitation to conduct further studies and to collect data on the economic and social role of the SCC, in particular as a predominant element among the various economic sectors.
The definition of the itinerary of the manuscripts has required a great deal of research in preparation, based on the available historical sources, in order to identify the places in which they are housed Codes and produce an inventory for each country. We have so far identified the following sites:

Starting from this mapping, the partners will share information about their code, in order to produce a common database. This database will be a prerequisite for the development of all the subsequent output of the project.

3) Produce a tour guide on the path of illuminated manuscripts
Following the establishment of a comprehensive database and shared partners will be asked to study a guide / content for the prototype of a Guide Itinerary, which will contain the following information:
• Historical notes
• Justification
• Definition and description of the manuscripts of the sixth century AD, cc.dd. Evangelaries:
 Type
 Features
 Origins
 Vocabulary
 Geographic Locations:
Italian-Region: Italy
-Euro-Asian Region: Russia
-Balkans: Albania
-Other regions: England, France and Austria

Each region will have its own particular inventory of codes and an identification form, which will include pictures, history and types of illuminated manuscripts.

4) Create an online platform that will function as a virtual museum to pool and share information, experiences and good practices among the project partners and stakeholders ..
Given the number of participating countries and the geographical distance between them, we considered that one of the most useful tools for dissemination will be an online platform. The virtual museum is therefore an interactive platform that both users and partners can share information, knowledge and experiences on the Codex. We would also like to promote art and creativity by setting a section within the virtual museum exhibitions to show / display pictures, videos and other graphics, music and experiences of literacy inspired by the location of the Codex.

The virtual museum will contain at least the following information available:

5) Develop educational sessions (seminars, workshops, training, conferences) on illuminated manuscripts.
Taking into account that the cultural and creative sectors:
 promote the dissemination of innovation in other sectors and play a key role in economic development - in particular with regard to SMEs - as well as social the Union;
 cultural production and creative European economic benefits in several important sectors such as tourism, retail, digital technologies, etc.
 constitute an important element of regional development strategies at local and regional level if we are to achieve the goals of social cohesion and economic growth;
 are important actors of social cohesion and continue to create jobs, especially for young people, and to release a high potential for innovation


we planned some activities to develop academic knowledge of illuminated manuscripts and improve employability skills of the participants in the cultural and creative sector.

To this end, the following activities are planned:

a) 7 laboratories / workshops: Each partner will organize a workshop in your country. During the workshops will be analyzed by the Codex heritage as a factor of economic growth, or by highlighting the business opportunities and work that developed the tourist route with this project offers young people (qualifying operator or entertainer, guide, manage itineraries and tourist goods cultural, organizer of cultural events, etc. ..). The workshop was followed by No. 7 workshops in video conferencing, each managed by a partner, and which will be attended all 70 people at the same time. These online workshops will be a time for sharing of experiences among stakeholders from different countries participating in the project.

b) 7 photographic competitions and local exhibitions organized by each partner.

c) 7 guided tours, each organized by each partner in their own country: the visit will take a didactic approach, which will be proposed in the implementation of educational activities for students in elementary and middle schools (max 50 per visit, n ° 25 schools elementary schools and No. 25), by organizing visits to the places where they are stored codes.
