KA210 Sport project on mental health of yoga instructors in Europe
This project proposal under Erasmus+ Sport KA210 – Small-scale Partnerships focuses on the mental health and well-being of yoga instructors and yoga workers in Europe. While yoga is widely associated with balance and mindfulness, many professionals in this field experience stress, burnout, unstable income, emotional pressure and limited institutional support. These challenges remain under-researched and rarely discussed at European level.
The project aims to open a structured European dialogue on this topic and to strengthen the resilience and professional sustainability of yoga instructors through cooperation between grassroots sport and wellness organisations.
Main planned activities include small-scale research on mental health challenges in the yoga sector, exchange of good practices and coping strategies, networking meetings, and the creation of a European cooperation platform for future Erasmus+ initiatives in sport and wellness.
We are looking for partners such as: yoga studios and centres, sport clubs that implement yoga in their activities, wellness associations, and universities or research institutions interested in contributing to research and knowledge exchange.
Duration: 6–18 months
Consortium: Erasmus+ Programme Countries
The expected impact includes increased visibility of mental health topics in the yoga profession, stronger international cooperation, and the creation of a sustainable European network of organisations working in yoga, sport and well-being.
