Enhancing Youth Competences

The training will introduce outdoor non-formal learning as a way for personal development, and reduction of vulnerability factors - triggers of radicalisation

Main aim: The project we would like to implement will focus on personal development of young people from disadvantaged background (migrants, refugees and other vulnerable groups) through outdoor learning.

The training will introduce outdoor non-formal learning as a way for personal development, and reduction of vulnerability factors which might be triggers of radicalisation (social exclusion, low self-esteem, identity crisis, etc).

The training objectives are:

- To increase understanding of violent radicalisation and the causes of extremism;

- To increase the awareness of young people’s needs to develop foundation for active participation in the society and prevention of involvement in violent activities;

- equip participants with background knowledge and theory behind outdoor learning and use it as a way to increase personal resilience to extremism

- To equip with innovative methods and tools for working with hard to reach young people and stimulate their personal development using outdoor learning environment;

- To enhance the international dimension of youth activities within organisations involved through the promotion of mobility and cooperation
