Full Description of the Project: Education for Empowerment and Social Development

Context and Problem:
Vulnerable neighborhoods in Nouakchott suffer from high illiteracy rates among women, school dropout among children, and youth unemployment due to lack of skills.

Project Objective:
To contribute to improving the educational and economic level of the most vulnerable families and empower them for active integration into society.

Main Activities:
1. Opening 4 literacy classes for women (100 beneficiaries).
2. Organizing free tutoring for 150 primary and middle school students.
3. Training 60 young men and women in life skills, computer literacy, sewing, and entrepreneurship.
4. Awareness campaigns on the importance of education and the rights of children and girls.
5. Distribution of school supplies and books.

Expected Results:
Improving reading and writing skills for 100 women, raising the academic level of 150 children, and qualifying 60 youth to enter the labor market.

Sustainability:
The project relies on qualified volunteers, partnerships with local schools, and the creation of a small fund to support graduates' projects.

Target Group and Type of Support Required: 1. Target Group (310 direct beneficiaries): - 100 illiterate women (15-45 years old) from vulnerable families in El Mina (Riyadh) district, Nouakchott. - 150 students (8-16 years old) from El Mina (Riyadh) district at risk of dropping out of school. - 60 young men and women (18-35 years old) from El Mina (Riyadh) district who are unemployed. 2. Type of Support Required: - Financial and in-kind support to provide appropriate tools:Equipping 4 classrooms (blackboards, tables, computers, sewing machines) and covering trainers' salaries. - Budget for exploratory tours: Organizing educational and cultural trips for students to enhance their learning. - Incentive support:Distributing books and school supplies and providing incentive prizes for women and children to ensure their continuity and motivate them to learn.
