„Eco-innovations in non-formal education – climate change.”

Training course for youth workers and teachers aiming at equipping participatns with educational methods to teach and about climate change.

The inadequate education about causes and results of global warming results in low awareness and sometimes strong scepticism or even total denial of the issue and its consequences in some European countries. In December 2015 in Paris the representatives of 195 UN countries from all inhabited continents took part in the Climate Change Conference. The decisions undertaken during this event has proven that the world leaders are feeling responsible for the global warming process and want to take steps to limit it.

The training course aims at equipping the participants – youth workers, teachers, etc. with tools and methods of teaching and sharing awareness about the climate change among youth using non-formal education.

We are searching for an organization working with youth with active methods. The participants should be people above 21 years old with English language skills on at least medium level. The participants should be working with youth on daily basis or planning to do so. (teachers, youth-workers, students of pedagogic faculties, etc.). The training is not about discussing and debating about causes of climate change unless it will be part of educational tool.
Number of participants from each organization: 4.
