E for Equality (LGBT project!)

Ukrainian NGO "PORA!" as a host organization is looking for the partners in realization of the training course about Media as a tool for LGBT community in fighting with stereotypes (KA 1: mobility of youth workers).

With this project we want to highlight the problems of LGBT people caused by inappropriate work with media and to discover how to use these media as a tool for achieving equality.
21-st century shows the power of media (destructive and constructive). During this project we will use the constructive power of media to create tolerant and well informed attitude toward LGBT.
Participants of this course will obtain the skills which could be useful for their work in NGO and personal development:
- How to cooperate with media;
- How to plan the public event;
- How to prepare the press release;
- How to improve the skills of public speaking;
- How to stay confident during controversial discussion.
A part of the course will be dedicated to creation of special event by participants, so they will have a chance to use their new skills on practice.
This training course based on non-formal learning, that is why all the sessions will be filled with various discussions, role plays and creative approach.

The training course will be realized in Lviv, Ukraine (Western part of Ukraine, which is close to EU border, absolutely safe).

Call is open for the organizations from Programme Countries and for the Partner Countries Neighboring EU.

Profile of participants:
• youth worker/youth leader from LGBT community or interested in this field.
• speaking basic English;
• open-minded, tolerant and creative;
• ready to be active during the training course;
• interested in setting further co-operation with organizations from other European countries.
