This project is addressed to all those who work in amulticultural environment and wish to improve skills and competences on diversity management
During the last decades mobility of people has highly increased. Nowadays we live in a multicultural world; we interact, we work immersed in an environment where DIVERSITY itself, in all its aspects: age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical attributes, relates to the fact that we are all unique individuals. Organizations, companies, big and small business are emerging as places of diverse force work in terms of gender, race and ethnicity. However, prejudices and discrimination have not been eradicated yet. Be aware of the value of diversity; understanding, appreciating, respecting the varying characteristics of individuals is much more than simply tolerating the differences. Manage distinct identities with diverse behaviors presents tremendous opportunities as well as challenges for the enterprises.
The projectā€¯ Diversity- a value for entrepreneurshipā€¯ is an opportunity for all those who work in a multicultural environment and wish to improve skills and competences on diversity management, plan and implement a diversity program.
The activities of the training course will focus on the following topics:
- Why diversity?
- Challenges in diversity management
- Diversity as opportunity
- Equal opportunity policy: gender and cultural diversity
- Strategies to promote an inclusive environment
- Study cases: plan diversity programs
As finale result of this Training course, participants will draft a document, which will include examples of good practices, advice relating policies and strategies to manage diversity and details of diversity programs conducted in different enterprises.
