DEMOCRATIC DREAMS
Our project will make the young ladies living in rural areas involve to democratic life more effectively. Since the educational, employment, transport and other sectoral policies do not face the needs of these young ladies’ needs, these young ladies are exposed to lower social services and opportunities compared to the young ladies living in cities. The young ladies living in rural areas who are not socialised enough can not be involved in public decisions. These deficiencies are a big barricade for them to have effective roles in democratic life. The socio-cultural factors that exclude the young ladies in rural areas from public and democratic life can be dealed under four specific topics; education, opportunity for employment, lack of self confidence, public pressure and supervision. The education level of young ladies in rural areas is low. Naturally low education level limits to have an occupation and employment opportunities. This situation impels the women to a passive position in their domestic living areas by preventing them to have their economic freedom. Because of their low level of education and experience women believe in themselves very little. Lack of self confidence is the biggest barrier for women in order to discover their closed-down powers and to express themselves. Other facts that limits women to involve the democratic life effectively are public pressure and supervision. Limitation of spacial mobility of women can not enable the socialization of them.It is foreseen to deal with interferences towards to see the democratic life relations closer besides the programmes which are informative and developer for the participants. During our project activities will make an addition to women in rural areas for getting over the problems bounding them and getting in touch with democratic life more and consistency to democratic life.
