Cultural Exchange through Leathercraft, Folk Dance, and Reforestation

The project unites youth from Türkiye and Europe to share skills, culture, and environmental awareness through 7 days of joint activities in both regions.

Objectives

Provide vocational skills to disadvantaged youth (leathercraft workshop).

Promote cultural exchange (folk dance workshop).

Raise environmental awareness (reforestation in burned areas).

Strengthen friendship and solidarity between Türkiye and Europe.

Participants

20 young people from Türkiye and 20 from Europe (total 40).

Age range: 18–30.

Priority: youth from disadvantaged or rural areas.

Program Flow (7 Days in Türkiye)

Day 1: Welcome, ice-breaking games, project introduction.

Day 2: Leathercraft course (basic techniques, hands-on workshop).

Day 3: Folk dance workshop (traditional Turkish dances).

Day 4: Cultural excursion (museum and historical sites).

Day 5: Reforestation activity (planting trees in burned forest areas).

Day 6: Mixed workshop – leathercraft creations + folk dance rehearsal.

Day 7: Final exhibition and performance, certificate ceremony.
