Project Description:
This training course will focus on empowering youth workers with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) methodologies to foster creativity and innovation in their youth work practices. By integrating artistic approaches with technical skills, participants will learn how to inspire young people to engage in creative problem-solving and innovative projects.
The aim is to equip youth workers with the tools to facilitate STEAM-based activities that ignite creativity and critical thinking, preparing young people to tackle challenges in their communities using interdisciplinary approaches.
Key topics covered:
STEAM in Youth Work:
An introduction to the STEAM approach and how it can be used in youth work to stimulate creativity, innovation, and problem-solving among young people.
Hands-on STEAM projects:
Practical workshops where participants explore coding, 3D printing, robotics, and artistic expressions to design youth-centered projects.
Creative problem-solving:
Using the STEAM approach to engage young people in solving local or global challenges through innovation, whether through digital tools, engineering solutions, or artistic interventions.
Bridging art and technology:
Encouraging youth workers to combine artistic creativity with technological skills to create engaging, interactive youth projects.
