WHO ARE WE?
CALÍ is a youth association established in December 2015 which has the main aim of promoting active citizenship both at local and European level.
Its goal is to involve the different targets of the local community in social and constructive activities with the objective of improving the interpersonal and intercultural exchanges and relationships. Calì is interested in the fields of environmental sustainability, gender equality and social inclusion. The reality of Monfalcone, a small town close to the Slovenian and Austrian border, is highly multicultural, since there is a strong presence of minorities (first from Bangladesh and secondly from the Balkan countries) but still it presents a relevant gap of integration and intercultural exchange between the local Italian citizens and the migrants, as well as a lack of engagement of people in activities which can improve the quality of life in the town. At the moment Calì main goals are to promote EVS and Erasmus+ mobility projects and to promote the “Timologia” a science of the emotions that aims at helping people understanding better their own emotions and the others’ ones, to have a better communication and awareness in their relationships with other people. At the same time, Calì is building a network with other local organizations in order to foster the chances of effectiveness of the results that can be reached.

PROJECT MAIN GOAL:

With this project we aim at building a network of reliable organizations who wish to work together and plan a Strategic Partnership project in the field of Youth for 2018.
As a recently born organization, we believe that online relationships cannot completely substitute the face to face interaction in order to build healthy and long-lasting cooperation among Ngos. At the same time, it is more difficult for young organizations to get involved in bigger and longer projects if they don’t have a solid partnership network.
With this contact making event, we want to bring together organizations from different fields (focusing on youth), as well as different levels of experience in order to get to know each other, match our interests and start planning a Strategic Partnership project.
Moreover, we want to pay attention to the ultra peripheral regions, which might face more difficulties in finding new/trustworthy partners because of their distance, and we would like to address this issue.

PROJECT MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Networking of organizations, getting to better know Strategic Partnership project writing, starting planning potential projects together for the 2018 february deadline.

WHEN AND WHERE:

11 days, October 2017
Monfalcone, not far from Trieste, in the North East of Italy.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for 10 partner organizations working in the youth field.
Each organization will send 2 youth workers.

We would like to have geographical and topic-related balance among the organizations.
We are looking for three or four organizations which are from ultra peripheral regions (Azzorre, Madera, Reunion, Martinique, French Guyana, Guadalupe, Mayotte, Canary Islands). It is really important for the success of this project that the partners are really motivated to build a network and to start planning projects together during the activities. Especially, we look for organizations who are interested in getting involved into Strategic Partnership projects and /or have experience with it.

The organizations who have already experience in Strategic Partnership, will share their knowledge and mentor the organizations who don’t have experience yet.

Since we would like to develop together some details of the project, deadline to submit the PIF is 26 th March.
