Calì

CALÍ is a young association which has the main aim of promoting active citizenship both at local and European level. Its goal is to involve the different targets of the local community in social and constructive activities with the objective of improving the interpersonal and intercultural exchanges and relationships.

Calì is engaged in the fields of environmental sustainability, gender equality and social inclusion.

The reality of Monfalcone, a small town close to the Slovenian and Austrian border, is highly multicultural, since there is a strong presence of minorities (first from Bangladesh and secondly from the Balkan countries) but still it presents a relevant gap of integration and intercultural exchange between the local Italian citizens and the migrants, as well as a lack of engagement of people in activities which can improve the quality of life in the town.

The educational background of the staff covers the field of: Political Science&European Project Management; Law and Social Work. Additional competences concern the “emotional education” field.
