Coeurs De Papier

Coeurs de Papier(CDP) is a social enterprise subsidiary of the non-profit organization called Better Life Vietnam (BLV). This social venture aims to provide employment opportunities to disadvantaged youth in Vietnam, helping them to achieve independence and an improved quality of life through the handcraft and sale of handmade quilled artwork. The income achieved via the sale of artwork will also serve to support the BLV vision and initiatives to improve educational conditions for underprivileged children and youth in Vietnam.

Our core product is quilling handmade artworks made by disabled youth. Quilling is a fine art that transforms strips of paper, into beautiful objects. Strips which are rolled, folded, and glued to create artistic designs. They can be used to create gifts, greeting cards, bookmarks, etc. ​We are launching with quilling handmade greeting cards. Each CDP product is not only a piece of art, but a symbol of empowerment for a youth determined not to let their disabilities define them. When customers buy a CDP product, they are receiving a beautiful quilled work and making a difference in someone’s life. ​

Why did we decide to launch this venture?

With the Coeurs de Papier project, we hope to have these young people’s fine artwork known and spread worldwide. Together, we hope to change the lives of disabled youth in Vietnam. Those who have learned the art of quilling will have a skill they can use to support themselves. By selling their handmade artwork, we can help create stable jobs for the disabled and bring them one step closer to achieving independence.

In addition, we also hope and need to create a revenue generating channel to sustain Better Life Vietnam.
