Clean Air Healty Life in Payas

While it was an agriculture and horticulture town in 1970s Payas district of Hatay proVinco has profilrated and has grown from 7000s to 40000 Since then the steadily growing city Payas has become an district in 2013 It has been favourite cities of Turkey with its history and its natural beauty. %40 of steel produced in turkey has been produced by industry organisations in payas. in this context its most importtant source is iron and steel industry. But this situation creates serious environmental pollution. The largest pollution of this sector is air pollution. Therefore low air quality is the largest trouble of the district society. A remedy to this problem has been sought for years. In environmental law and in accordance with the provisions stated in the other laws, the neccessary measures have been taken and air quailty has been tried to be controlled by doing regulations. The industrial sector growing from day to day in the district sometimes fails down on this matter.
Our project target is to create awareness and to advise the youngs located in industry organisations, educational isntitutions and related non-gouernmental organisations (NGO) about preventing air polution. It has been planned to be learned of successful implementations in EU countries, adaptation to our country of them, their transfer to the youngs in payas and the institutions and organisations.
cooperation will be carried out between teachers working in Mustafa Kemal university in hatay and their students , engineers working in industry organisations in payas, NGOs working for environmet and the persons working about this matter in our municipality. By creating technical committe successful and inovative implementations, methads about improvement of the quailty of air in the partner countries within the context of Erasmus+ will be learned thanks to this cooperations. Methods learned by our committe will be turned into a guide and delivered to the companies which causes air polution through seminaries, conferences, booklets or brochures obtained successful and innovative implementations will be showed not only in payas they will be showed also in our province and other provinces.
Sharing the studies about cleaning and preveting of air polution in EU countries has been planned with this project.
