LOVECH
The city of Lovech is located in northern Bulgaria 150 km from Sofia. The city has a population of roughly 38,000. The climate is temperate and continental, with hot summers and cold winters.
Lovech is one of the oldest settled places in Bulgaria.
Bulgaria’s ‘town of lilacs’ has a fortress, old town and unique covered bridge among its intriguing attractions.
Spring is an especially lovely time to visit, when abundant lilac bushes add fragrance to the town. Foreign tourists are few, but Bulgarian weekend visitors arrive in groups to traipse through cobbled lanes in the historic Varosha quarter, and shop for handicrafts within the covered bridge.
Lovech is a convenient detour if you’re travelling between Sofia and Veliko Târnovo.
ACCOMMODATION
Participants will be accommodated in a hotel in Lovech
