Call for partners - EXIT Sign - Empowering Youth Against Exploitation

Raising awareness of human trafficking with an e-learning platform, escape game kit, and virtual simulation to educate and prevent exploitation.

We assist our German coordinator in looking for expert partners in the field of human trafficking prevention for an Erasmus+ project, KEY ACTION 2.

Project Description:
In recent years, the ‘lover boy’ method has become an increasingly prevalent tool used by human traffickers to exploit individuals. Vulnerable persons, often young women, are drawn into abusive situations disguised as romantic relationships, traffickers employing emotional manipulation and posing as romantic partners to gain trust and dependency before forcing their victims into exploitative situations. This method poses an increasing concern especially in the context of the rise of social media and digital platforms, which have facilitated its spread, making it easier for traffickers to reach and groom potential victims. This is an alarming trend that calls for collaborative efforts to be made in terms of awareness raising and preventive education, which are at the core of this project.

In this context, the following educational tools will be developed: an e-learning platform for facilitators who implement prevention campaigns and related activities, an escape game kit on the topic of the ‘lover boy’ method, which will be used during prevention campaigns in schools, and a virtual simulation tool (online case study or video) for raising awareness about cyber grooming and the importance of setting boundaries in relationships.

OBJECTIVES:
- enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals working in the prevention field, through an interactive online educational platform focused on combating the ‘lover boy’ method and cyber grooming;
- educate young people on the threats posed by the ‘lover boy’ method, through a thematic escape game;
- raise awareness online on how to avoid the threats of cyber grooming, using a virtual simulation educational tool.

What we are looking for:
We are searching for partners who are passionate about youth education, digital learning and have proved competences in the field of human trafficking prevention.

PARTNER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the content creation process and to the development of the online platform, the escape game kit and the virtual simulation tool, based on their expertise in human trafficking prevention.
- Assist in testing and providing feedback on the educational tools.
- Promote and disseminate the project outcomes.
- Engage local communities and networks to maximize the impact of the project.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborative activities etc.
