Building Skills for Tomorrow

Young people with disabilities in Romania represent a diverse group with a wide range of conditions, including physical, sensory, intellectual, and developmental disabilities.

The situation faced by this people is extremely grave. Many of them encounter significant obstacles in accessing education, employment, healthcare and opportunities, in addition to dealing with social stigma. Moreover, there is a lack of infrastructure and support services to meet their needs, often resulting in social exclusion and limited opportunities for personal growth. Young people with disabilities who struggle with low self-esteem and confidence may struggle to effectively communicate their message. In this regard, it is of paramount importance to provide youngsters with disabilities with soft skills and support their personal development.

To address this, our team proposes the "Building Skills for Tomorrow" youth exchange to take place in Romania as a way to tackle this issue. The main goal of the project is to provide young people with disabilities with essential soft skills that will help them to live a more independent life and to grow personally.

We are looking for partners that work directly with youngsters with special needs.
