BROTHER - Be ready for the future

The project offers youth workers 2 weeks of training to develop theoretical and practical tools on the topics of climate change and intercultural communication.

The project focuses on two main areas of intervention that have been identified as high priority, given the current global situation, with the aim of providing youth workers with the theoretical and practical tools to best address the rising challenges of our time.
The high priority areas identified concern the topics of migration and climate change, and more in detail: (i) the promotion of intercultural communication between people from different backgrounds, with particular regard to people on the move and their relationship with local communities in transit and destination countries; (ii) raising awareness on the topic of climate change and the impact it produces locally, with specific attention to the Balkan area.

Therefore, participants will acquire practical methods that foster relationships between people from different cultures through the implementation of targeted workshops on the topic of cross-cultural communication; in addition, they will gain the skills to structure and carry out workshops, activities and actions aimed at tackling the challenges of climate change.

The project is also meant to create an opportunity to discuss and share views, best practices and experiences on the topics analysed with the purpose of establishing an international network of organizations that could continue to cooperate in the future.
