Present times put a growing social pressure on young people and developing social and emotional capacity becomes an urgent imperative. Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage effectively emotions, not let them led, self-control, the ability to motivate yourself, to persevere, to postpone immediate reward for a future result, to make mature and responsible choices, the understand others and to empathize, to have quality interpersonal relationships, to have a real and positive self-image, to believe in oneself. Emotional intelligence it develops strong as a critical factor in supporting the success and positive behavior, in maturation and personal development, in increasing self-esteem and social integration opportunities. Its usefulness is known throughout the world. More and more educational and development institutions assimilates them and more hiring companies are looking for these skills to have a high level. Unfortunately, many young people do not know and are not aware of the importance of social-emotional skills, leading to increase the risk of not integrating into society, to have setback, personal dissatisfaction and decrease yield and quality labor and social failure.
The aims of this projects are:
1. Raising awareness about the impact in social exclusion or inclusion of social and emotional skills;
2. Discover methods to improve social and emotional skills;
3. Improve the ability to recognize and understand the feelings and concerns of others to be able to establish emotional bond, especially in an Intercultural context;
4. Improve self-esteem in order to deal with increased security situations of hardship and difficulty;
5. Help young people deal with situations of social exclusion, bullying and discrimination, and become positive social actors that will have a positive impact in their local realities.
