Br(AI)n: Different Minds, Equal Chances

Youth-led Erasmus+ exchange on neurodiversity and responsible AI, testing AI and non-digital strategies for planning, learning and communication.

Fundacja Idearium (Poland) is looking for committed partners for Br(AI)n: Different Minds, Equal Chances, a KA152 Erasmus+ Youth Exchange being prepared for the 1 October 2026 deadline.

Br(AI)n will bring together 30 young people aged 18–25 from six European countries to explore how artificial intelligence and non-digital strategies can make everyday planning, learning, communication, organisation and participation more accessible for young people with different ways of thinking and learning.

The project will primarily involve neurodivergent young people and young people facing fewer-opportunity barriers, including young people experiencing attention, executive-function, communication, sensory or learning differences. A formal diagnosis will not be required.

Participants will test practical AI-supported and non-digital strategies, compare experiences across countries and critically explore issues such as AI accuracy, bias, privacy, dependency and unequal digital access.

This will be a genuinely youth-led project. Before submission, young people from all partner countries will contribute to the project through an international needs survey, local consultations and the Br(AI)n Youth Design Circle.

During the exchange, participants will work mainly in mixed international teams, co-facilitate activities and create the Br(AI)n Everyday Toolkit containing practical strategies, responsible-AI guidance, non-digital alternatives and reusable inclusive youth-work activities.

After the mobility, every partner will organise a local follow-up activity using the methods developed during the exchange.

We are particularly looking for organisations that:
work directly with young people aged approximately 18–25;
can reach neurodivergent young people and/or young people with fewer opportunities;
have genuine experience in youth work, inclusion, accessibility, digital education, AI or related fields;
can involve young people in project development before the application is submitted;
are willing to distribute the Br(AI)n needs survey and organise a short youth consultation;
can nominate 1–2 young people for the international Youth Design Circle;
are willing to contribute to preparation, implementation, evaluation and local follow-up — not only participant recruitment;
are interested in building reliable long-term Erasmus+ cooperation.

Previous Erasmus+ experience is welcome but is not essential if the organisation has strong youth-work experience and real access to the target group.

Application deadline: 1 October 2026.

Target group: Young people aged 18–25, particularly neurodivergent young people and young people experiencing attention, executive-function, communication, sensory or learning differences. A formal diagnosis will not be required. Priority will be given to participants who additionally face social, educational, economic, geographical, disability-related or other barriers that limit their participation in international youth opportunities. Support needed: The project will use an inclusive participation model adapted to individual needs. Support may include clear visual schedules and instructions, shorter learning blocks, predictable breaks, access to a quiet/low-stimulation space, different ways of participating without forced public speaking, additional preparation before mobility, group-leader support, and individual travel or participation arrangements where justified. Participants will not be required to publicly disclose a diagnosis or personal history. Individual support needs will be identified confidentially before the exchange. AI activities will use anonymised or fictional examples, and participants will always have non-digital alternatives available.
