A Youth Exchange using peer-to-peer non-formal education to break stigmas on severe disabilities (Visual impairment, Deafness, Autism, ADHD).
Stemming from our VET expertise in training disability support professionals, this Youth Exchange aims to turn clinical concepts into youth-led civic action. We will gather young people to break down stigmas surrounding severe disabilities (Visual impairment, Deafness, Autism, ADHD).
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Through peer-to-peer non-formal education, participants will step into each other's shoes.
Activities include experiential workshops (navigating spaces blindfolded, Sign Language basics), a
"Neurodiversity Café" to dismantle stereotypes, and co-designing a local "Sensory-friendly" community event.
TARGET GROUP:
Young people aged 16-25 + 1 Group Leader. We strongly encourage the participation of young people who are neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism) or have mild sensory impairments.
ROLE OF PARTNER: Youth NGOs or cultural centers with strong experience in non-formal education and disability rights ready to act as Sending Partners.
