Art for Inclusion

The contact making seminar will set up new partnerships and share good experience of using art as a tool for inclusion of youngsters with fewer opportunities.

Each partner should send two participants.
The contact making seminar will bring together 30 youth workers, who are working with youngsters with fewer opportunities, to set up new partnerships and exchange good examples and experience in youth field. The seminar is designed not only to set up new partnership, but to reflect in phenomena of exclusion and to foster inclusion for youth with disadvantage in society, using art as a tool for inclusion. Seminar will be based in three main points: first one shall be exploring the concept of inclusion and exclusion in our societies and find tools how to foster it, sharing good experiences while working with youngsters with fewer opportunities; second point will be presentation of possibilities that Erasmus + Youth in Action is offering for disadvantaged youngsters; and third one would be setting up new partnership and design concrete project ideas for future cooperation, working mainly on promotion of inclusion through art, participation and active citizenship.

Objectives:
-to foster inclusion and active participation of young people with disadvantage by bringing together 30 representatives of different organisations and regions of Europe
-to set up a network of organisations which will ensure continues cooperation and provide resources for well going of activities under Erasmus + YiA or other programmes in inclusion and art field
- to create good partnerships and contacts among organisations in order to develop new concrete projects within Erasmus +.
- to increase knowledge and interest about Erasmus + YOUTH in ACTION Programme, and share positive examples of inclusion and art activities
- to empower youth workers to act as multipliers in local, national and European level by providing knowledge and improve skills that can be used in activities with youngsters with disadvantages
- to get to know other cultures from different countries and to raise awareness of intercultural learning and diversity while working in European level
- to give to participants the chance to present their professional, social and personal background aiming at exchanging good practices and experience among organisation who are experienced and other non experienced in Erasmus +


Methodology:

Working methodology will be based in nonformal education approach. All methods will be chosen carefully from trainers team to fit the needs of all atendiees. More concretly we will use:
- experiental learning methods
- participant centered approach method (sharing experience, open space, small group discusion)
- intercultural learning methods (how to behave when we face diversity, prejudices, new culture, game, iceberg model)
- learning by doing
- open space technology
- power point presentation
- group working
- reflection
