A secure EU youth

A secure EU youth, aims at the youths feelings of being more unsecure. We also want to undermine this by creating curiosity of diversities and influence.

In our daily work with young adults we see an increasing feeling of insecureness among the young ones, starting their way in life as adults. This feeling affects the school results and the social inclusion as well as fear for the steps that needs to be taken in order to develop oneself.

A secure EU youth is a project that is aiming for the situation that many young adults today face. We have numerous reports about our young generation’s unhealthy feeling of their state of mind.
We see a lot of youth that feels unsecure and unsafe. We do not see a lot of reports telling us of how to diminish that feel and that is one of the aims of this project. The second one is that the majority of the newsflashes we see and hear has to do with negative signals of the world situation, we would like to also in this project create positive curios relations, gained by sharing diversities. This we will do by workshops of different topics like, food, holidays, texts in the national hymn, marriages, work, sports etc. Do we celebrate different things but on the same calender days, why might that be. Does every one have santa claus or alike, easter holidays, the swedish midsommar festivity, the 21 of march and the 22 of november. This are things that will take away diffrences and create acceptens of diversity instead of focus on bad and negative things.

The project a secure EU youth, is at the same time saying they are not so to compensate for this we want to create a knowledge and curiosity of our equally differences both in the insecureness but also understanding of others on a positive. By doing this and the experiences from other YE we feel very secure to make a difference for the participants in the project and to rise the self esteem and confidence of one self and the surrounding world, in a small scale.

This is something we then would like to share via a print-book.
What we already do is working with target group domestically but what we want to do is compare the daily living of negative feelings and how that influence the daily life of young people, trying to find their path in life. We want to compare this with other young groups within the EU to see if we can find similarities.

We would then like to bring this knowledge as Evidence based facts to our politicians to see if young people has any way of influencing the politicians in order to increase the feeling of being a secure EU youth .
To prepare before the YE is to investigate among our target group the reasons and the solutions for the sake of felling secure in the society. We prepare both our young group doing the travel and also support them in order to make contact with the politicians in the city of Helsingborg.
