The project is about contacts between Indigenous people and minorities living with them. We are going to learn about several cultures to understand them.
The group is 8 people from Wroclaw, Lower Silesia. 3-4 people are from minorities (mostly Armenians) and 3-4 participants are Poles. We are 16 to 20 years old. Most of us live in Wroclaw and attends the Secondary school number 3. Everyone is interested in many different things and that's what we expect from our partners.
The reason for this is the topic of our project. It is about the difference between cultures. Sometimes small groups of a nation living outside their homeland - minorities have difficulty in adopting the new language, behavior and traditions of the new country. That's why we can notice some misunderstandings between two different cultures. We also want to avoid this kind of problems by knowing and understanding other cultures' history and traditions.
The idea is to bring as many cultures closer together as possible.
First of all we want to invite 5 groups from 5 different countries. Each group must consist of 7 to 9 people. We want to have mixed groups, 3-4 people from minorities, and 4-5 indigenous people who have everyday contact with other nations. We are looking for people, who are interested in their culture's history, music, cuisine, traditions and etc. In other words, we are searching for people, who play an instrument, sing, cook national meals, are able to present their country's history, and speak in their mother language. The participants age varies from 16 to 20 years old. They must be tolerant and interested in getting to know about other cultures.
If you are interested in please send us PI and completed and signed mandate (in attachement) as soon as it is possible.
