Youth Work Ireland

Youth Work Ireland is one of Ireland’s leading youth organisations, supporting the personal, social and educational development of young people aged 10–24 through community-based youth work.

Founded in 1977, Youth Work Ireland operates as a federation of local youth services and youth clubs working in partnership with communities across Ireland. Through professional youth workers and a large network of trained volunteers, the organisation delivers inclusive programmes that support young people to build confidence, develop skills, and become active participants in society.

Our work is based on the principles of youth participation, informal education, equality and inclusion. Programmes include youth leadership initiatives, creative arts and music programmes, personal development workshops, outdoor education, intercultural learning and community engagement projects.

Youth Work Ireland works with thousands of young people annually, including those facing social, economic and geographic barriers to participation. We are particularly interested in projects that support inclusion, youth participation, creativity, identity, wellbeing and social justice.

The organisation has experience working with European youth programmes such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps and is committed to creating meaningful international learning opportunities for young people and youth workers.
