Vereda Colectiva

Vereda Colectiva Association was founded in 2025 in Almería, driven by a group of people with environmental and social concerns, and with a long history in activism, education and socio-environmental projects.

Our work stems from a conviction: the transformation of neighborhoods, cities and territories is only possible if it is built collectively, from citizen participation and with the perspective of the common good.

Our values:
Common good and community : we advocate that social and environmental actions should have a shared and community impact.
Ecology and sustainability : we work for the restoration of nature, the ecological transition and the circular economy.
Mobility and active city : we promote a city designed for people, encouraging walking, cycling and the use of public spaces as meeting places.
Social justice and diversity : we promote gender equality, intercultural coexistence and respect for diversity.

The objectives of Vereda Colectiva Association are:
To protect, conserve and restore natural spaces and promote the ecological transition through environmental restoration projects and citizen awareness.
Promoting international volunteering as a tool for learning, solidarity, intercultural cooperation and social transformation.
To develop cultural, artistic and educational activities that promote dialogue between cultures and respect for diversity.
Promote educational projects aimed at young people, families and the community in general on the environment, coexistence, healthy habits, mental health and emotional education.
Promoting improved coexistence in multicultural contexts through community actions, mediation, participation and awareness-raising.
Develop urban improvement initiatives, with special attention to disadvantaged neighborhoods and school environments, fostering a sense of belonging, collective care and community participation.
Promoting an active city through sustainable mobility and the use of public space as a place for meeting, play, culture and social cohesion.
Promote participatory urban transformation projects that link urban ecology, community culture, and citizen participation.
Promote gender equality in all areas, especially in rural or vulnerable contexts.
Establish collaborative networks with other associations, public and private entities, national and international, for the development of social, cultural, environmental and educational projects.

Activities

To achieve these goals, we carry out:
Volunteer programs and camps, international meetings and training activities.
Workshops, talks, awareness campaigns and educational activities in schools, public or community spaces.
Environmental restoration projects, agroecology and land stewardship.
Cultural events, fostering intercultural dialogue, awareness raising on issues of discrimination and marginalization, community days and participatory festivals.
Urban improvement projects in collaboration with residents, local entities and professionals from various fields.
Collaboration with public administrations and social entities for the development of projects of general interest.
Applications for grants, agreements, sponsorships or donations that make our activities possible.
Publication of educational, audiovisual and informative materials related to our objectives.
Participation in European and international networks and projects aligned with our values.
