NEW EUROPE FOUNDATION

New Europe Foundation (NEF) has specialized in modern and innovative non-formal education since 2015. It is a leading organization in the Silesian region implementing international cultural, social, ecological, and youth projects. Its core activities focus on training young people, including those at risk of exclusion, in developing skills across various fields.

The Foundation organizes workshops across the Silesian Voivodeship and throughout Poland, covering topics such as energy transition, ecological, social, and digital skills, and diplomacy. To implement its tasks, NEF collaborates with local media and promotes its initiatives through websites and social media. NEF is active both in Poland and abroad, maintaining long-standing partnerships with international NGOs and opinion leaders. As a result, it has established a cooperation network with NGOs from across Europe, currently comprising nearly 20 closely collaborating partner organizations from other EU countries.

In 2018, NEF (then the Institute for Labour Market Development) received the EDUinspirations Award for the project “Pole, Ukrainian, European” under the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council, granted by the Polish National Agency for Erasmus+ (FRSE).

In 2024, the New Europe Foundation was awarded Erasmus+ accreditation in the youth sector, opening up new opportunities for funding projects and expanding its international youth education offer.

The Foundation’s experience includes years of social and academic work, including organizing youth meetings, building houses in Armenia for families affected by the war in Nagorno-Karabakh, and supporting entrepreneurs in Georgia through Polish development aid.

The Foundation’s main areas of activity include:

* applying non-formal education in project implementation,
* promoting shared European values, democracy, and active citizenship,
* engaging in international cooperation within the Three Seas Initiative and the European Union,
* fostering understanding and participation in decision-making at local, national, and EU levels,
* strengthening European identity by highlighting shared values and cultural heritage,
* ecology and environmental education,
* education and development of digital and social skills,
* organizing educational activities for youth on ecology, active citizenship, digitalization, and online safety,
* raising community awareness about digital transformation,
* promoting equal opportunities and access, as well as social inclusion in all activities,
* supporting the integration and reintegration of people at risk of social exclusion,
* helping youth enter the labor market,
* conducting social campaigns.
