National Center for Community Services

The National Centre for Community Services (NCCS) is an independent Albanian NGO with a vision to assist and play a key role in the development of the Albanian community. NCCS was originally registered in Tirana District court on 11th of December 1998 and re established with new goals and missions on the 10th of April 2007. NCCS works to integrate the most disadvantaged groups including rural communities, women, Roma community, people living in social exclusion, such as PLWHIV, injecting drug users and strengthen institutions and people capacity to protect and advocate for the protection of their rights and social inclusion.Three pillars of its overall scope of work and strategy in the country are: (1) Provision of assistance and training to the Albanian communities, civil society organizations, public service delivery structures at community level.(2) Provision of services to social excluded people including PLWHIV, LGBT and ethnic minority groups; (3) organization of cross-sector initiatives with special focus on gender, health and environment.NCCS aims to work closely with the Albanian people and government as well as other NGOs participating in a variety of projects. Since its creation, National Centre for Community Service is pursuing the following activities towards building a culture for a better healthy and gender oriented community: Community Development: National Center for Community Services empowers social excluded community through service provision and improvement of their life skills to better respond to their integration in society.

Training: National Center for Community Services provides organizational development for NGO sector, vocational and gender training for vulnerable target groups, peer-to-peer education and information on SST/HIV-AIDS for diverse targets and other skills to institutions and individual practitioners (health care providers, nurses etc).
Advocacy Work: National Center for Community Services supports NPO-s effort working in the health , social & environment field in the organization and development of national awareness campaigns aiming at highlighting the risks and improving living standards people. NCCS works on Capacity Building for Non State Actors for Improving Governance at National and Local Level in Albania
Develop Curricula and teaching materials.
