KADEM Foundation, was founded in 2013 in Istanbul Turkiye, is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting women's rights, empowerment, and leadership, with a focus on Turkiye and the surrounding region. KADEM is a membership-based organization that has a diverse range of members, including academics, professionals, and activists, who share the common goal of supporting and promoting women's rights.
KADEM Foundation aims to raise self-confident and qualified individuals with high individual and social awareness. For this reason, KADEM opens up space for students with scholarship programs and support the education of young people. In the last 4 years, we have brought together nearly a thousand undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students with KADEM Student Scholarship.
KADEM's scope of work is wide-ranging and includes advocacy, research, education, and community outreach. The organization's areas of activity include women's political participation, human rights, gender equality, violence against women, women's economic empowerment, and women's leadership. KADEM's primary goal is to create a society that is inclusive, democratic, and respects human rights, with a particular emphasis on the rights of women.
KADEM's team is composed of a dedicated group of paid and unpaid staff members who are experts in their fields. The organization has approximately 100 paid staff members, including project coordinators, researchers, and administrative staff, as well as a large number of volunteers (2000-5000) who assist with various tasks and initiatives. KADEM's learner base is also diverse, with educational programs and initiatives targeted towards women of all ages and backgrounds.
The project is designed to help stay-at-home mothers rediscover their potential through entrepreneurial and digital skills.
The project explores the role and representation of women in the planning, design, and governance of smart cities.
By tackling biases in AI, this project helps to create tools that serve diverse populations equitably; empower young women to envision as leaders in technology.
SheConnects ensures that these systems evolve to meet women’s needs through innovative, inclusive, and collaborative approaches.
Addressing digital violence is essential to ensure that digital platforms become inclusive environments where women can engage safely, confidently, and equally.
