Hungarian National Foundation for Recreation

Erzsébet-program, besides operating Hungary’s system of social tourism targeting underprivileged segments of society, attaches high priority to summer camps for children on vacation. Since its establishment it provided opportunities for active recreation for more than 400,000 people, including 200,000 children in Hungary.

To respond to the challenges of this age, we have made a firm commitment to add international exchange elements to the program offering of Erzsébet Camps. The envisaged exchange programs would allow children and youth between the age of 8-18 to test themselves in an international environment through non-formal and informal learning opportunities.

We plan to provide exchange opportunities to hundreds of children including those with fewer opportunities within the framework of bilateral or trilateral cooperation with other European countries, which would help raise awareness of the culture of partner countries, and would foster at an early age the sense of what it takes to be an active European citizen.

We are looking for partners to form a consortium to Erasmus+ Key Action 1. Youth Mobility Actions, Key Action 2. Strategic Partnerships and Capacity Building projects.
