Hayat Sahnesi Dernegi (Life Stage Organisation)

Hayat Sahnesi Derneği is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation founded in line with the Turkish Code on Associations. The association is an off-spring of the civil initiative taken by a group of actors/actresses ,Opera singer , orchestra artist ,decor costume creator ,auther and other people fond of art and all followers of civil rights. After attending the Jean Monnet Module on “European Integration Studies for the Civil Society” in organized by Akdeniz University under the auspices of DG Education, Culture, Youth and Sports, some of the Module participants took the lead in establishing the Hayat Sahnesi Derneği (Life Stage Association). The aim of Hayat Sahnesi Derneği is to help the youth build self-confidence and learn how to express themselves by means of arts (especially stage art like drama) and therefore become active civilians involved in civil matters. To achieve this end, the Association organizes training courses and seminars both theoretical (i.e. fundamental rights, civil rights, basic values, active citizenship, etc.) and experimental (i.e. public speaking, acting, voice training,children's choir etc.).
However the members (actors / actresses, opera singers,academicians, moderators) have relevant expertise in their own fields with an active work life of almost 20 years.

We are a established organisation aiming at giving awareness for young and all people to the society on their rights and other issues and providing them a platform to express themselves .EU projects gives us an opportunity to learn more information and exchange ideas with other cultures which gives us a chance to look at the projects also from a different perspective….
