Grüner Grashalm e.V.

The organization was established by environmental activists in 1990 in Wismar. Since 1994 ,the main focus of the organization has been experiential and outdoor educational youth work. Through its outdoor education projects, Grüner Grashalm e.V promotes inter-cultural understanding and cooperation, and provides young people from the local region with opportunities to participate in international projects. For the last 25 years we have been organizing training seminars, youth exchanges and adventure projects in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, France, and Germany. We develop team building skills, communication methods and integration strategies through outdoor and experiential education. Our activities include climbing, rafting, hiking, skiing, biking as well as music, theater and dance. We are a receiving organization for EVS volunteers; our team currently includes four EVS volunteers (two from Russia, one from the Ukraine and one from Romania).
