FOUNDATION CHADOO

The Chadoo Foundation offers recovery programmes, helps to find supported employment, permanent supportive housing and organizes sports and arts programmes, all within a community that encourages sharing, independent living, friendship, personal responsibility, and family participation.
We support people who suffer from civilization diseases such as the bipolar disorder (abbreviated as ChAD in Polish), depression, OCD, PTSD and other mental disorders. We organise training sessions, workshops, and various events for both people suffering from the abovementioned disorders and their friends, families and employers in order to encourage their active participation in each other’s and their community life.
Our activity also involves organising music concerts, shows and other cultural and sportive events. We partner with theatres, schools of acting, and music bands, as well as a variety of modern Polish artists. We collaborate with the Art Spot, the Social Propaganda Studio by Jacek Staniszewski - great Polish graphic artist, poster designer, illustrator and musician, the Art Kulturoholizm Foundation by Marta Frej - Polish graphic artist and illustrator, the Polish Filmmakers Association, the STA Actors Studio, Accademia D'arti Discanto, the Aurelia Foundation, the Polish Theatre Cinema, Alter Dance Theatre, the “I Know When I Can’t” Theatre, the Polish-British Film Foundation, Popotniško združenje Slovenije, Asociaţia "Tinerii 3D", Sfera Serbia, AIFY, youth4youth, Sfera Italy, Vzayemopomich, Sfera Macedonia, Associazione Culturale "Gentle Giant", Juventud - Ayuntamiento de Lucena, Asociación Nuevos Retos, Amigos de Europa, Foundation for The development of The Poznan University of Technology, etc.
The art workshops which we organize for people suffering from depression include: working with texts (prose and verse), improvisation, modern theatre, stage songs, lectures on the history of theatre and art and motivational workshops.
At the moment six volunteers, translators (English, French, Italian, German and Russian), eight psychologists, and a lawyer are working with the Foundation. Moreover, it is supported by well-known Polish artists who create social campaigns and other events relating to the issues of life quality and health recovery of artistically talented people.
The Foundation aims to carry out public benefit activities for the promotion of healthy, conscious lifestyles, physical activity and a stable state of mind among children, adolescents and adults as well as educational activities for the prevention and treatment of diseases of civilization, through sports, technology, science, cultural development and arts; to promote international cooperation, cultural and educational exchange, including the promotion of dialogue between representatives of different cultures, nations and social groups; to shape and develop cultural and scientific awareness in the society, especially by inspiring and disseminating innovative educational and artistic attitudes.
