Euroactive NGO

Euroactive aims to promote peace, its values and the well-being of all citizens. To fight against social exclusion and discrimination. To empower and integrate disadvantaged individuals into society. To preserve cultural heritage and to promote sustainable development.
Our values identify with the Treaty of Lisbon provisions that protect human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality and equity, rule of law and human rights aiming to build a society in which inclusion, tolerance, justice, solidarity and non-discrimination prevail.
Our vision is based on three actions: Caring, Sharing and Doing! We care of people, we share with people and we do all we do, for people, wearing with us five principles that define who we are: desire, positivity, openness, hard work and trying to see always the good in other.
From 2022, Euroactive NGO has Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of Youth and from 2023 Quality Label on Volunteering (for all three roles – Sending, Receiving and Management).
The most important resources in our organisation are the people. With over 4 years of experience in the implementation of educational projects and activities, our team is well-equipped to offer training, mentorship and guidance to vulnerable groups such as individuals with fewer opportunities, facing economic, geographic, social and cultural obstacles. In order to reach our goals, we are committed to developing opportunities for personal and professional development of our target groups, to creating strategic partnerships with other NGOs, public and private actors, in fields such as education, rural and economic development, human rights, digitalization, media, entrepreneurship and eco-sustainability. Through our programs and campaigns, we aim to raise awareness about environmental protection, preserve customs, traditions, and cultural heritage, promote ecotourism and ecological and artistic education, and further the values of the European Union.
Our team brings together youth workers with experience in youth educational field, young and enthusiastic volunteers ready to change the world and three board members, all seasoned Project Managers with extensive experience in Erasmus+ projects for youth and adult education.
Our target group includes people from a large range, regarding their age - 10-35 years old, including people with fewer opportunities. Most of these youngsters are youth from rural areas – facing economical and geographical obstacles – coming from poor families, some of them facing domestic violence. Also, we are working with people facing educational difficulties (abandoning school from an early stage, not succeeding in the graduation exams, etc.) and social difficulties (youngsters facing discrimination, marginalization or exclusion; youngsters coming from disorganised families; youngster which are part of a national or ethnical minority).
The lack of opportunities is huge in Curtea de Argeș and especially in the rural areas around the city, where most of the time, the only social activity the young people have is playing football on Sundays (usually accessible only for boys). For the rest of the time, the local bar is the only place they can meet and socialize. We are trying to provide them with educational opportunities and equal chances to develop their personal and professional abilities.
