Desert Bloom is a Jordanian nonprofit dedicated to advancing sustainable development by integrating the three pillars of sustainability: The Social (People), Environmental (Planet), and Economic (Prosperity) pillars.
Our Vision
To inspire and advance a just, resilient, and thriving society in Jordan and beyond, where People, Planet, and Prosperity grow in harmony.
Our Four Program Pillars
We address interconnected local and global challenges through four mutually reinforcing program areas:
1. Social Empowerment & Well-being: advancing social equity, civic participation, and resilience through human rights, mental health support, and capacity building.
2. Cultural Diplomacy & Peace: Building peace and countering extremism by leveraging intercultural exchange, heritage preservation, and interfaith dialogue.
3. Economic Empowerment & Sustainable Livelihoods: Transforming skills into self-reliance through entrepreneurship support (including social enterprise and circular economy models), financial literacy, career services, and strategic networking.
4. Environmental Protection & Climate Action: Implementing community-led actions in resource conservation, waste management, biodiversity preservation, reforestation, and sustainable living/agriculture.
Leadership Model
Our leadership combines strategic vision (Advisory Board of 12 experts from academia, civil society, and the private sector) and operational excellence (Executive Team), enhanced by local and international volunteers.
Our Target Group
We empower underserved individuals and communities—especially vulnerable youth, including immigrants, refugees, and those in under-resourced areas—who face systemic barriers. We provide tailored support to build their resilience, leadership, and self-belief.
