DAR DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION

DAR DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION was established in early 2013 by a group of people with background business consulting but also a long history of volunteering for social and youth organizations and vivid interest in education. We are the only NGO in a little town with no more than 10.000 inhabitants, Titu located in Dambovita county at 50 km distance of Bucharest, the capital of our country.
Our main target group are the teen agers living in very small cities at the border between rural and urban life, but not only them.
We decided to have five domains of intervention, that now after two years of full activity we present in order of their importance for us according to the number of projects and :
• Personal Development using non formal Learning Methods for building transversal competences like: entrepreneurship, communication skills, conflict management, public debate.
• Healthy Life Style & Durable Development and, including sport and rising awareness on addictive substances and unhealthy behaviors, promotion of ecology and recycling concepts
• Support of cultural and artistic and creative spirit of young people
• Social and Civic Dialog, supporting young people to become active members of their community, by understanding their statute of European citizens and initiating and participating on activities in their community.
