Community centre "Knowledge"

The "Znanie 1906" Community Center in the village of Cherny Osam was founded in 1906 as a public institution working with the local community. The Center has been the natural and the only cultural organization attracting children, youth and adults of all social, healthy and ethnical layers of the population. It has been developing a variety of activities such as running librarie for children and adults, schools and courses, speeches and evening meetings, local fests and traditional events, groups of performing folklore songs and dances, public associations, etc. The Community Centre is housed in its own building situated in the centre of Cherny Osam village.
The main mission for the Community Centre “Znanie 1906” is to work for development of the cultural life of the young people from the region; retain and develop the customs and traditions of the locals; to increase the public interest in knowledge; to be a cultural centre for the local population from any ages; to develop and enrich the social and educational activities in the locality; to provide access to information and Internet; to support the development of local infrastructure; to support the development of tourism in the village. To work for the mental prosperity of the youth.
