Cantiere Giovani Cooperativa Sociale ONLUS

Cantiere Giovani - Cooperativa Sociale ONLUS is a non-governmental social organization and non-profit founded in 2001 in the Northern Province of Naples.
It manages the center "Il Cantiere" in Frattamaggiore, a youth center which counts 1,600 members and provides integrated services to the community: work orientation, language courses, music, computer science and multimedia, non-formal education, Italian language courses for foreigners, Social Secretariat.
With the project “La Strada dei Diritti” it created non-formal education courses for children and teenagers on the Rights and Europe, which received in 2014 the Gold Medal of the President of the Republic. Since four years it manages a “off” theatre (60 sits) named TAV – Teatro Animazione Visioni – which hostes cultural activities.
The cooperative activities in the schools contemplate visual communication workshops (photography, cinema, multimedia) to enhance critical thinking and encourage the active participation of young people using simple tools.
In addition, it realizes projects of reception, information, guidance and integration for members of immigrant communities in the area: infodesks, language courses and Italian culture, deeply integrative leisure activities.
