Arci Solidarietà ONLUS was born on 29th March 1995, with the main aims to offer solidaristic support to the most marginalized people and to disseminate a solidaristic culture in terms of rights promotion, empowerment of the most disadvantaged, social responsibility against racism and gender discrimination.
Arci Solidarietà ONLUS is a center of non-profit associative life, independent, pluralist, non-political, democratic and progressist. Arci Solidarietà Onlus is located in Rome, the Italian capital city, where in the last 15 years immigration’s flows increased remarkably, with specific reference to Roma Camps. This made it necessary to start a pioneering process of dissemination of knowledge-field intervention’s good practices with the public authorities respectfully to their different levels/kinds of responsibility (Boroughs, the City Hall Departments, the County, the Public Health Centres) and the neighbourhoods of citizens interested by this phenomenon, becoming a key-NGO of reference for all of them on Roma issues.
Through our projects, services, collaborations, and events, the NGO has acquired a sound experience in different areas of intervention: Youth and Childhood, Roma and Immigration; Social inclusion and citizenship.
Main activities aimed at young people of different age groups are:
-we manage several youth centres in the city of Rome, with the aim to offer new aggregative and socialization opportunities to italian and migrant adolescents;
- we have been the Italian representative of different experience of youth exchange at European level.
-we hosts every year young people who have chosen to do the National Civil Service
Association working with schools and managing five youth centers in Rome is happy to join strategic partnerships for the new Erasmus+ calls!
