Our idea is to focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the European 2030 Agenda, so embracing a comprehensive perspective of our time, like the italian philosopher Mauri Ceruti named, the "time of complexity - il tempo della complessità". According to this definition of our actual world and society, we definitely need to act at different levels. First of all, also referring to the seventeenth goal of 2030 Agenda, we believe in the power of local and international cooperation: we firmly think that our globalized system needs more global, conscious and sympathetic citizens. The possibilities offered by international programmes, such as Erasmus+, are a solid tool to empower young and adult generations to act as a community and to be an active part of the changes that the world needs. We aim to work in the field of international programmes, youth exchanges and large
partnerships, as also in local and national projects, to propose different actions for sustainable development.
One of our first aims is the involvement of rural areas in the international debate on sustainability, on one hand to struggle the process of marginalization and depopulation of extra-urban territories, and on the other to consolidate new perspectives of life, closer to natural environments and at the same time socially stimulating.
Art and creativity are, moreover, two of the keys that we want to include in our concept of sustainable development and cooperation: the artistic languages are a universal and efficient means of communication that can unite people across the world. The path for a better and equal system has to involve as many voices and cultures as possible, and we think that activities such as artistic residencies, exhibitions, cultural exchanges,
editorial projects, photography, etc., are a fundamental action to be taken. In addition to that, we need to find new (metaphorically and literally) resources, trying
to not waste the few we still have. Well, we believe that the solution is reusing and recycling what we already have consumed, also in fields such as agriculture,
infrastructures, cultural projects, or, in general the use of the soil. Only in Italy there are more than 3,5 millions of hectares of abandoned lands: it’s necessary to re-activate
them and give them a new life with a sustainable and innovative perspective. We also want to support the framework of agriculture. We believe it is essential to
create a strong community of workers, consumers, scholars, students, naturalists, that could improve our agricultural system: it is clear that one of our most powerful tools to fight the climate changes is the health of the soil, so it is a priority to ensure a right care
of it, through a more sustainable agriculture and the reintegration of richer ecosystems, so contrasting the issues of the industrial and intensive monocultures.
Hand in hand with the innovation of our production systems, we need to raise awareness of global citizens about ethical and sustainable choices, in human and
natural terms, as the twelfth goal of 2030 Agenda reminds us. Plastic and food wastes, incorrect refuse disposal, unresponsive everyday choices, overconsumption of non-renewable resources, are all matters that also we, as citizens, can handle with responsible and proactive actions in our lives.
Wa also think that it’s vital to operate with a new perspective in the field of travel and mobility: it looks clear that our current standard is no longer viable, first of all because of its intrinsic unsustainability, and secondly, but also very relevant, because of the new priorities imposed by COVID-19. We aim to create strategic partnerships, a net of organizations, enterprises and structures that want to propose a slow and ethical
version of our travels, and that could support the small and local realities, as well as the ecological projects for sustainable travel.
