Main aim

The main aim of this training is to empower youth workers, teachers, youth leaders, and other professionals engaged in youth-related initiatives with practical tools, methods, and competencies in career counselling. The training will enable them to effectively support young people—especially NEET youth and those with fewer opportunities—in enhancing employability, developing meaningful and sustainable career paths, and applying innovative approaches in their local communities.

Specific objectives
• To strengthen youth workers’ ability to guide young people in mapping career paths, preparing CVs, and identifying personal and professional strengths.
• To provide practical experience through non-formal learning methods such as simulations, debates, role-plays, and real-life case studies.
• To increase youth workers’ knowledge about labour market trends, entrepreneurship pathways, and skills needed for future employment.
• To develop a support network of youth organisations committed to improving career development services for young people.
• To create a practical booklet for youth organisations on how to become effective career counsellors and support NEET youth.

How It will be done
The training course is based on non-formal and experiential learning. Participants will take part in interactive workshops, problem-solving sessions, group work, peer-to-peer exchanges, university visits, discussions with professionals, and creative tasks that mirror real labour-market challenges. The program encourages active participation, reflection, self-development, and teamwork. All learning outcomes will be supported by daily reflection groups and guided facilitation.

Additional learning experiences
To enrich the learning process, the programme includes inspiring field visits and real-world interactions. Participants will visit a Bank and the Money Museum, gaining insights into financial systems and economic behaviour. A visit to Start-up Space and participation in networking meet-ups with local start-up communities will create opportunities to connect with entrepreneurs, business specialists, and young founders who are building their companies from the ground up. These experiences will help participants understand today’s labour market, explore innovative career pathways, and get motivated by real stories of resilience, creativity, and business development.

The training ensures added value by enhancing leadership, communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills while fostering international cooperation and networking.
