“Unscripted: From Silence to Impact – Theatre for Sexual Health, Rights, and Inclusion"

Training Course

16-22 May 2026 | Belchin , Bulgaria

This training equips youth workers to use theatre as a non-formal tool for dialogue, reflection, and social change, promoting sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, and reducing stigma and discrimination.

Main Idea:

This training equips youth workers and peer educators with the skills to use theatre as a powerful non-formal education tool. It combines artistic expression with peer education to foster dialogue, critical reflection, and social change. The training is grounded in the concept of theatre in education, which uses performance as a tool to influence knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours, specifically promoting young people’s sexual and reproductive health, preventing HIV, and reducing stigma and discrimination.

Specific objectives:

  • To develop participants’ skills in applying theatre techniques for peer education and social awareness.
  • To increase knowledge on sexual and reproductive health for young people (SRH), HIV prevention, and human rights-based approaches.
  • To strengthen communication, teamwork, and facilitation skills for working with diverse youth groups.
  • To enable participants to design and implement interactive theatre-based awareness activities within their communities.
