This course offers a fresh start with the European ERASMUS+ programme for newcomers in the European youth mobility. Discover opportunities, learn methodologies, find partners, involve young people from inclusion groups, realise youth mobility projects.
PROJECT´s STRUCTURE The project is composed of the four stages (download visual), which are interdependent and interconnected. It is important for the participants to take an active part in all the stages of the Project, in order to achieve all the objectives. PREPARATION [Phase 1]: find and prepare participants; November-December 2013 INTERNATIONAL TRAINING [Phase 2]: 7-16 January 2014 in Lithuania PRACTICE [Phase 3]: Realising learning mobility projects; February-October 2014 RESEARCH AND EVALUATION [Phase 4]: November-February 2015. PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS -> Youth leaders, volunteers, youth workers, project managers, educators from formal education field, social workers, social animators. -> Motivated to discover the world of the learning mobility (like European exchanges, European Voluntary Service, job training opportunities abroad); -> Residents of Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Germany or Lithuania; -> Being able to communicate in English. -> Older than 18 years Priority will be given to participants: -> Who are in direct contact with young people aged 16-22 years coming from inclusion groups (e.g. at the margin of dropping from education, not involved in any education form or activity, from smaller towns and villages or are young migrants from urban areas, or other disadvantage youth groups); -> Are volunteering or working in newcomer organisations to the field of youth mobility (who are willing to start organizing the learning mobility projects and their organisation did not yet benefit from European mobility opportunities) -> Are committed to participate in the all stages of the project. OBJECTIVES Based on the previous experience and research findings we elaborated the following specific objectives for this project: -> To strengthen participants’ personal interest in realising learning mobility within the new ERASMUS+ programme for youth, education and sport; -> To increase participants’ knowledge of learning mechanisms in youth exchanges, EVS and training courses; -> To offer opportunities for participants to experience authentic intercultural learning process with an element of positive challenge -> To support participants in developing learning to learn competence and their ability to facilitate learning to learn process with young people; -> To create space for participants to network and plan learning mobility projects involving young people from inclusion groups -> To familiarise participants with the opportunities of new European programme ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES During the 8 day programme (download programme), participants will share and discover youth work realities in participating countries, will get familiar with benefits and opportunities of European learning mobility, will develop intercultural learning and learning-to-learn competences, will plan future learning mobility projects. Group dynamic activities and regular reflection time will be used to support individual and group learning process. The new European programme for youth, education and sport will be presented during the project. Learning will be supported with variety of learning-to-learn methods and tools, interactive input sessions, experiential simulation activities, group work, creative presentations, learning badges. Project will include the research dimension in order to implement the evidence-based methodologies in youth work.

All of the project promoters are members of the UNIQUE Network. UNIQUE Network aims at bringing practice and research together for better quality in non-formal education. We began working on putting our network together in 2006 and since then cooperate with member organisations in various projects, ranging from short-term educational activities (e.g. UNIQUE R.I.D.E., "Facilitating the Volunteers ́ Learning") to long-term projects (e.g. Grundtvig “Learning to learn”, UNIQUE Year of Learning project). Such long lasting and intensive cooperation sets ground for efficient partnership in this project too.

Costs

100% of boarding, lodging and programme costs will be covered. 70% of travel costs will be covered upon the submission of travel documents proving the costs.
