Tools4(ex)Change is hands-on training course designed to equip possible youth exchange leaders with the knowledge and skills to use non-formal educational tools and methods to create and facilitate meaningful, inclusive and impactful youth exchanges.

The aim of Tools4(ex)Change is to empower aspiring youth exchange leaders with the competencies, confidence and creativity to design and facilitate meaningful, inclusive and impactful youth exchanges using non-formal education methods grounded in experiential learning and intercultural dialogue.

Training course objectives:

  • To equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to design and implement non-formal educational activities in youth exchange contexts.
  • To provide hands-on experiences with a variety of experiential learning methods, encouraging reflection, active participation and peer learning.
  • To foster awareness and competencies to support meaningful intercultural dialogue and inclusive environments within youth exchanges.
  • To explore  themes and issues currently relevant to young people through creative and participatory methods.
  • To support participants in their development as youth workers and facilitators by fostering self-awareness, collaboration and a values-based approach to youth work.

Working methods:
The training course will be based on an interactive and participative approach. The processes of learning from each other and learning by doing will be crucial, as well as self-directed peer learning, where partners equally share their knowledge while placing emphasis on integration and promoting independent learning experience.

During the training methods of non-formal and informal education will be used, such as individual, pair and group work, creative workshops, theatre methods, simulation and situation games, problem solving and debate exercises, presentations and discussions, indoor and outdoor elements.

Day 5: Digitalization, digital wellbeing & critical media literacy
Day 6: Peacebuilding & Intercultural Learning

To whom? 
Tools4(ex)Change is designed for new youth workers who are interested in becoming youth exchange leaders. The training is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with peers, facilitating inclusive group experiences and using non-formal education to make a positive impact.

This training course is especially suitable for:

  • Aspiring or emerging youth leaders;
  • Participants with some experience in youth exchanges as participants willing to become leaders;
  • Young people eager to explore non-formal educational methods and experiential learning;
  • Those who want to gain hands-on skills in facilitation youth-driven learning activities.

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs are determined by standards set strictly by Erasmus+ Programme based on the distance between your hometown and Alicante.

We plan to reimburse your travel costs after the training course by bank transfer after we received all the needed documents from you within 60 business days.
