Training Course
12-15 May 2026 | Ankaran, Slovenia, Slovenia
The Talk, Act, Reflect Training for Trainers is a 4-day international training course taking place in Ankaran, Slovenia (12–15 May 2026), designed for youth workers, trainers, and facilitators who are working with young people aged 13–21 and wish to strengthen their methodological and facilitation competences.
The training is built as an intensive, practice-oriented learning process that combines experiential learning, reflection, and application. At its core is the Talk, Act, Reflect methodology, a structured approach that supports young people in developing communication skills, critical thinking, and active citizenship through guided dialogue, action-oriented learning, and reflection.
Participants will engage in a step-by-step exploration of the three components of the methodology:
Talk – focusing on communication, dialogue, active listening, and creating meaningful conversations;
Act – supporting youth participation, initiative-taking, and the design of small-scale actions and community engagement;
Reflect – enabling deeper personal and group reflection, learning consolidation, and awareness of competences developed.
Throughout the training, participants will not only experience the methods as learners but also transition into the role of facilitators. They will design, test, and receive feedback on their own workshop scenarios, ensuring direct transferability to their local contexts. The programme places strong emphasis on creating a safe and supportive learning environment, peer learning, and the development of a community of practice among participants.
By the end of the training, participants will have strengthened their facilitation skills, gained concrete tools for working with groups, and increased their capacity to foster active participation and reflective learning processes among young people. The training also contributes to longer-term impact by supporting the creation of a network of practitioners who will continue applying and sharing the methodology in their work.
