Spotlight ON! Mentoring 101

Seminar

20 November 2023 | Online, Romania

We will clarify tasks of a mentor and focus on two classical areas of mentoring: supporting the integration in a new environment and facilitating learning and development of the volunteer.

Mentoring 101 - Where and how to start mentoring within the European Solidarity Corps programme?

Our One Day intensive workshop offers a first introduction and orientation for mentors in the field. We will clarify tasks of a mentor and focus on two classical areas of mentoring: supporting the integration in a new local / cultural environment and facilitating learning and development of the volunteer. During our workshop we also want to offer a space for exchanging experience, addressing challenges and identifying competences and tools needed to tackle these two areas.

Mentoring under Construction (MuC) is a process of exploration and community building in the landscape of mentoring within the European Solidarity Corps. During our MuC Events we share content, stories and good practices around mentoring, we look at quality mentoring from the perspectives of volunteers, mentors, project coordinators, trainers, authors and researchers.

Target group

If you are a mentor who is just about to embark on this journey or has already some experience with mentoring (max one year) this workshop is perfect for you!

Mentoring 101 concentrates on mentoring within the European Solidarity Corps programme.

Working language is English.
