No Borders, JustStories!

Training Course

20-27 April 2026 | Casa Negrea, Ighiu, Alba, Romania

“No Borders, Just Stories!” is an Erasmus+ training for 25 youth workers from Romania, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey, using Theatre of the Oppressed and storytelling to promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue and equality.

No Borders, Just Stories! is an Erasmus+ international training course designed for youth workers, trainers, facilitators and volunteers active in the field of non-formal education and youth work. The project brings together 25 participants from Romania, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey for an intensive learning experience focused on inclusion, intercultural dialogue and equality.

The training offers participants practical tools to address discrimination, stereotypes and social exclusion in their daily work with young people. Using Theatre of the Oppressed and storytelling as core non-formal methods, participants will explore how creative and participatory approaches can foster empathy, critical thinking and meaningful dialogue in diverse groups.

Through hands-on workshops, simulations, group work and guided reflection, participants will:

  • develop practical facilitation skills for working with diversity and intercultural groups
  • learn how to use theatre-based and storytelling methods in youth activities
  • strengthen competences such as empathetic communication, active listening and cooperation
  • co-create intercultural performances based on real-life experiences and social issues

The program is highly participatory and experiential, encouraging participants to actively contribute, reflect on their practice and exchange methods with peers from different cultural backgrounds. Daily reflection sessions and Youthpass support the learning process and competence recognition.

The course is specifically targeted at applicants who are currently involved in youth work or non-formal learning, such as youth workers, NGO staff, volunteers, trainers or educators who work directly with young people and wish to integrate creative, inclusive methods into their activities.

Additional detailed information regarding the daily program, learning objectives, methods and logistics will be provided in a separate information document shared with selected participants.
