Life in It Training Course

Training Course

11-20 December 2026 | Hamburg, Germany

Life in It is a two-part Erasmus+ media training for youth workers and educators, combining practical filmmaking, storytelling and short-form video in Germany and Greece, with local practice between the two phases.

Life in It is a two-part Erasmus+ media training for people active in youth work and non-formal learning, including youth workers, trainers, educators, volunteers, project coordinators and people involved in their organisation’s communication. No previous filmmaking experience is required; the focus is on learning through practice, collaboration and experimentation.

The learning journey starts with online preparation and continues with Frame One in Germany (13–19 December 2026), where participants explore practical filmmaking, storytelling and media tools by working in international crews and creating content in real local contexts. Between the two international phases, participants bring the learning into their own organisation or community, including a small focus group with young people and further local practice.

The journey continues with Frame Two at Hopeland, Greece (22–29 September 2027), where participants explore how the same storytelling foundations can be adapted to shorter, vertical video and social media formats. The methodology is strongly based on non-formal education and learning by doing: short inputs, practical assignments, teamwork, feedback, reflection and creative decision-making are at the centre of the programme.

Life in It is designed as one learning journey rather than two separate trainings, with online preparation, two residential phases, local practice and follow-up. Priority is given to applicants who can take part in the complete process and use the learning afterwards in their youth work, organisation or local community.
